The Nice Things in Life

Nice Things <3

This is a post pretty much about all the things that I love in life, from handbags to scarves and all things cosy. I am seriously in love with all kinds of sweaters, some of my favourites are soft over-sized sweaters in dark greys and charcoal colours.

During the Autumn, Winter and Spring, I am literally never without some form of a jumper or cardigan. Another thing that I cannot live without is scarves, currently with me I have about 7 scarves with me and at home I probably have about triple that at home, whenever I see a new scarf is some kind of a print that I don't have a instantly want it and will most likely buy it and add it to the collection.

I have such a love for handbags, literally and shape or size, I pretty much have one for every occasion. The majority of the ones I use on a regular basis are with black or brown leather, just because they are so versatile and can be pretty much thrown with any outfit without too much effort. One tote that I seriously love is one that I got last summer in Next for something like 25 euro. It is white with pale dusty pink straps and a silver metallic strip going from the bottom of the bag to about a quarter of the way up. It was such a find and big enough to fit everything, while being completely on trend of the season. I am seriously going to have to pull that bad boy out of my closet when I get home and give it a new lease of life with a cute chiffon scarf or something along those lines.

Some other things that I am in love with are not wardrobe related specifically but I thought that I should share some of my other passions anyway. One of these things is those super cute tumblr quotes that you find on all forms of social media these days. I think that while some of them are super annoying and a bit pointless, you can come across some that are seriously up lifting and inspiring  I have included some of my favourite ones below and I love to use them as backgrounds on my phone or just have them on my notice-board as something that is inspiring without being super over-powering.

Another thing that I have a real passion for is Skulls, literally they can be on anything from tees to scarves and I am obsessed with it. Some of my favourite pieces are little dainty bracelets with a small skull bead in it. One of my favourites that I have come across is one that I bought as a present for my sister from Brandy Melville back during the summer in California. It is made up of small black shiny beads and has one golden skull placed among them. I'm pretty sure it was a bargain as well but it is so cute and blends in well if you're like me and you like to stack a collection of little bracelets altogether on one wrist.

Something else that I am creating a small collection of is Statement Necklaces, I have far too many but that hasn't stopped me in the past for having the undying urge to want more. Literally have one that would go with any outfit. I am a big believer in the motto that accessories are key to any outfit and I think from my time spent in Topshop, my love from cool edgy chunky necklaces has been very much so made concrete in my accessory go-tos. One of the ones that I probably have gotten the most wear out of is a rope and metal combo one from Topshop that I ended up getting in the two colours that it was made in. I seriously love it, one is done with black rope, gold and a dark grey silver and the other with cream rope, bright silver and gold. They can be thrown on with a plain t-shirt or a gorgeous floor length gown and look perfectly suited either way. In terms of costume jewellery they have probably been my best investments to date.

So that is it, pretty much the things in life that I can currently not live without, the only other things would of course be my family, as in my amazing sis and Momma, my dog Alfie and not forgetting the giant teddy bear that is my horse Bambi.
