Boston

Just wanted to take a break from what I normally blog about to take a moment to acknowledge what happened yesterday. I have been living in Boston for a year now and Never in all that time have I ever felt unsafe or scared, that all changed yesterday at 3 o'clock when we heard the news of the events that had unfolded.

 Marathon Monday has been in the past a day of great celebration and excitement, with spending time outside in the sun with friends but now that will be a faint memory... My thoughts and prayers go out to all of those that were injured and lost their lives. It was a very sad day for everyone in the city and I can only imagine how the people that were so close to the explosions are coping today.

Thankfully we had decided not to go to the finish line but were in the area, about a mile away, the whole morning from 10 until half 1 when we decided to take a break and head home instead of heading downtown to get food. Someone up there was looking out for me and I am very grateful for that.
